Content Suggestions

Never run out of content ideas! Postiv.io’s AI analyzes your brand, audience, and trends to suggest relevant topics and content.

Accessing Suggestions

Find content suggestions in several places:

  1. Dashboard: Daily suggestion widget
  2. Calendar: Empty day suggestions
  3. Content Planner: Full suggestion interface
  4. Post Editor: Related content ideas

Types of Suggestions

AI monitors what’s trending and suggests relevant angles for your brand:

  • Industry news
  • Seasonal events
  • Social media trends
  • Hashtag challenges

Content Pillars

Section titled “Content Pillars”

Based on your brand voice, AI suggests content across your main themes:

  • Educational content
  • Behind-the-scenes
  • User-generated content
  • Promotional posts
  • Engagement posts

Performance-Based

Section titled “Performance-Based”

AI analyzes your top-performing content and suggests:

  • Similar topics that worked well
  • Formats with high engagement
  • Topics you haven’t covered recently

Using the Content Planner

Section titled “Using the Content Planner”

Weekly Planning

Section titled “Weekly Planning”
  1. Go to Content Planner in the sidebar
  2. Select the week you want to plan
  3. Click “Generate Suggestions”
  4. AI provides ideas for each day
  5. Click any idea to create a post

Content Calendar Filling

When viewing an empty day:

  1. Click the ”+” on that day
  2. Select “Get Suggestions”
  3. Choose from AI-generated ideas
  4. Create post directly from suggestion

Customizing Suggestions

Content Preferences

Section titled “Content Preferences”

Set what you want to see more of:

  1. Go to Settings → Content Preferences
  2. Adjust sliders for content types:
    • Educational vs. Entertaining
    • Promotional vs. Value-driven
    • Trending vs. Evergreen
  3. Save preferences

Blocked Topics

Section titled “Blocked Topics”

Exclude topics you don’t want suggested:

  1. Go to Settings → Content Preferences
  2. Add topics to “Exclude List”
  3. AI avoids these in suggestions

Seasonal Content

AI automatically suggests content for:

Holidays & Events

Section titled “Holidays & Events”
  • Major holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.)
  • Industry-specific days (Small Business Saturday)
  • Awareness days/months
  • Cultural events

Your Calendar

Section titled “Your Calendar”
  • Company anniversaries
  • Product launch dates
  • Recurring events you’ve added
Section titled “Trending Moments”
  • Award shows
  • Sports events
  • Viral moments (when relevant to your brand)

From Suggestion to Post

Quick Create

  1. See a suggestion you like
  2. Click “Create Post”
  3. AI pre-fills caption draft
  4. Add your media
  5. Schedule or publish

Save for Later

Section titled “Save for Later”
  1. Click the bookmark icon on any suggestion
  2. Find saved ideas in Content Planner → Saved Ideas
  3. Access anytime when you’re ready to create

Dismiss

Not interested in a suggestion?

  1. Click “Not for me”
  2. AI learns and improves future suggestions

Complete Your Profile

  • Set your industry
  • Define your target audience
  • Add competitor information
  • Complete brand voice training

Engage With Suggestions

  • Like 👍 helpful suggestions
  • Dismiss unhelpful ones
  • AI learns your preferences over time

Review Weekly
