Scheduling Your First Post
Scheduling posts is the core feature of Postiv.io. This guide walks you through creating and scheduling your first post.
Creating a Post
Section titled “Creating a Post”-
Click “Create Post”
Find the “Create Post” button in the top navigation bar or dashboard

Add Your Content
Write your caption in the text editor. You can:
- Type directly
- Paste from another source
- Use AI caption generation

Add Media (Optional)
Click “Add Media” to upload images or videos, or select from your media library

Select Accounts
Choose which connected accounts should receive this post. You can select multiple accounts to cross-post

Choose Timing
Select when to publish:
- Publish Now: Post immediately
- Schedule: Pick a specific date and time
- Add to Queue: Use your optimal posting times

Review & Schedule
Preview your post for each platform, then click “Schedule” or “Publish”
Post Editor Features
Section titled “Post Editor Features”Text Formatting
Section titled “Text Formatting”The post editor supports:
- Character count with platform limits
- Emoji picker
- Hashtag suggestions
- Mention autocomplete (@)
Media Support

Platform Customization
Section titled “Platform Customization”Each platform can have different content. Click the platform tab to customize:
- Caption variations
- Platform-specific hashtags
- Different media selections
Scheduling Options
Section titled “Scheduling Options”Specific Date & Time
Section titled “Specific Date & Time”- Click “Schedule” in the timing section
- Select a date from the calendar
- Choose a time (in your local timezone)
- Click “Confirm”
Queue System
Section titled “Queue System”The queue automatically schedules posts at your optimal times:
- Set up your posting schedule in Settings → Posting Schedule
- When creating a post, select “Add to Queue”
- Posts are distributed across your scheduled time slots
Draft Posts
Section titled “Draft Posts”Not ready to schedule? Save as draft:
- Create your post content
- Click “Save Draft” instead of scheduling
- Find drafts in Calendar → Drafts tab
Post Preview
Section titled “Post Preview”Before scheduling, preview how your post will appear on each platform:
- Instagram: Feed, Story, or Reel preview
- Facebook: Desktop and mobile views
- LinkedIn: Feed card preview
- X: Tweet preview with character count
- Threads: Thread preview
After Scheduling
Section titled “After Scheduling”Once scheduled, you can:
- View the post in your content calendar
- Edit the content or timing
- Reschedule by dragging in the calendar
- Delete if you change your mind
